The UN Relief Tent is designed in accordance with the guidelines set by the United Nations. The UN had set up a fund, which would enable it to move supplies and equipment quickly, and in large numbers, to affected areas. It eliminated the need to wait for a financial boost from donations and allowed funds to be available immediately. The versatility and ergonomic features of the UN Relief Tent made it ideal for this program.

Assembling the shelter requires minimal effort and eliminates the need for tools. The parts for the frame are manufactured using heavy duty structural steel. The use of CPAI-84 rated PVC fabric, for the main cover and the doors, ensures ruggedness and durability, along with the added protection of being fire retardant and UV resistant. All door flaps feature Velcro hold-ups and mosquito screens.

Ratchet StrapRatchet straps come standard with Rhino Shelters. The shelter cover never loosens or sags, thanks to the strong webbing material used in the ratchet strap. The tight fit allows the ratchet straps to withstand much higher snow loads than ordinary rope. A heavy-duty fabric floor kit is included in the package, as is an anchor system.
