Extension arm provides a huge 72" safe play distance and includes a V-brace to reduce backboard vibration and additional strut for increased rigidity. The massive post can withstand the weight requirements of any outdoor backboard and rim combination and can be manually adjusted onsite for younger kids to play on the unit.

The Gared AABS65 is a straight braced outdoor 6 5/8" O.D. post with an adjustable height horizontal 6' extension arm and front mount backboard mounting plate. Includes a V-brace with attachment hardware to eliminate backboard vibration, and an additional strut connecting the vertical post to the arm for added rigidity. 

Gared Outdoor Posts are offered in several styles, sizes and safe play zones to fit your facility's needs. Posts are formed from heavy wall galvanized steel for superior protection against weather elements. Each post is approximately 13' tall, with 3' to be installed in a 4' x 2' concrete footing (not included) to ensure long-lasting post stability. 5 9/16" and 6 5/8" O.D. posts are comprised of Schedule 40 steel, providing unmatched strength and durability to the unit. All posts contain a backboard mounting plate welded to post end for hassle-free attachment to most backboards. Posts are not painted. Powdercoated posts available, please call for quotation. PPWR Series post padding is optional and recommended for player safety.
